About the Role: 

As our lead Account Executive, you'll play a pivotal role in driving client acquisition within Fabric's mid-market and enterprise segments. Collaborating closely with our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and under the direct guidance of the CEO, you'll spearhead efforts to identify, engage, and convert prospective clients. Based in our Newcastle City Centre headquarters, you'll leverage your expertise to establish rapport, understand client needs, present tailored solutions, and ultimately secure sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Working alongside the Managing Director and closely with the sales and marketing team you’ll execute sales activities in line with our strategic plan, which would include -

  • Conduct market research to pinpoint opportunities within our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and generate SQLs
  • Proactively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach
  • Research, qualify, and compile prospect lists for outreach
  • Convert warm leads identified by the SDR team into closed sales
  • Lead discovery calls and meetings, employing a consultative approach to uncover client requirements
  • Manage and nurture your sales pipeline, diligently updating all activity in HubSpot
  • Consistently strive to exceed sales targets
  • Represent Fabric at exhibitions, networking events, and conferences
  • Provide regular sales and financial reports
  • Support SDRs in their role and contribute to their professional development

Required Skills and Experience:
Essential

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the sales cycle from outreach to closure
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage at a senior level
  • Proficient in sales techniques and negotiation
  • Fast learner with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Results-driven and self-motivated
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities

Desirable

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise sales
  • History of exceeding targets in a comparable role
  • Familiarity with the education technology sector
  • Basic knowledge or keen interest in marketing
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM software
